Hold up. Before you go, something to keep in mind.
We humbly (but firmly) ask: please help us preserve the Clarence Valley’s unique nature and beauty by observing the signs regarding camping and overnighting.
The Bundjalung, Gumbaingirr and Yaegl peoples have been supremely effective caretakers of these lands and waterways, since way before the Pharoahs or the Pyramids or the Ancient Greeks or any other ‘old’ civilisations. We really urge all visitors and locals to keep this remarkable achievement in mind. We can learn so much from the traditional custodians of this place, not least to recognise, respect, and do our best to preserve the health of the natural ecosystem.
Part of me wants to keep it a secret, part of me wants to tell everyone I know, the Clarence Valley is paradise.
