Diggers Headland

Diggers Camp, Diggers Camp, New South Wales, 2462

Diggers Camp is quite possibly the most hidden gem within the Clarence Valley.

A four kilometre drive over unsealed road North of Wooli, Diggers Camp is where you go to truly get away from it all.

Largely off-grid, with no shops, main streets or even street lights in sight, this is their quiet haven and they think it will be yours too!

For the historians amongst you, here’s a Fun Fact for your file… Diggers Camp was named as such because a gold mine operated here in the late 1800s – the only coastal gold mine in the Clarence Valley. (They can’t promise actual gold anymore but their sunsets are pretty Golden!)

The Diggers Headland Reserve Camping Ground caters for approximately 26 sites and is located on Crown Reserve. Camping is available in the Diggers Headland Reserve in December and January and New South Wales or Queensland public school holiday periods and is categorised as primitive so if real camping is for you then this is a must-stop!
