The Clarence River Jockey Club, located in the picturesque jacaranda tree-lined city of Grafton on the NSW North Coast, is home to the richest non-metropolitan carnival in Australia, the famous Grafton July Racing Carnival. The Club provides amenities equal to metropolitan tracks to cater for the July Carnival attracting crowds in excess of 30,000.

The Clarence River Jockey Club at Grafton was founded in the same year that the first Melbourne Cup was held and only one year after the AJC opened its racecourse at Randwick.
It has grown to become one of Australia’s most important country race clubs and the host of one of the major annual race carnivals outside the metropolitan areas.
